From the moment you sit back and relax in our luxury Japanese barber chair, know that you are in the hands of a trained shaving artist. Mr. Gonnerman is classically trained by “The Godfather of Shaving,” Henry Franco of Members Only Barber Shop in Santa Barbara, CA.
Mr. Gonnerman will perform your shave using the highest quality Japanese straight razors, hand-whipped European shaving cream, oil-infused steam towels, and traditional luxury aftershaves from the Virgin Islands.

The art of shaving has traditions going back thousands of years to ancient times. Unfortunately, correct techniques have been tossed aside to allow the unskilled amateur to feel a sense of accomplishment.
Mr. Gonnerman is dedicated to the proper techniques handed down from the masters of the old world and continues to train and study to preserve the art of shaving.

Preparation
Lie back and relax while you are draped in fresh laundered linens to protect your clothing.
Face Cleanse
Cleaning and massaging the face removes dirt and keeps the razors sharp for a smooth shave. Essential oil-infused steam towels promote relaxation while opening up the pores and softening the facial hair.
European Shaving Cream
Luxury European shaving creams are masterfully hand whipped and applied with a special synthetic lather brush. The shaving cream provides maximum hydration and slip for a smooth, comfortable, professional shave.
The Shave
Mr. Gonnerman uses the sharpest, highest quality luxury razors from Japan. The shaving strokes go with the grain of the facial hair on the first pass. The second pass, using a very fine razor across the grain, results in a smooth, non-irritating shave.
Finish
An antiseptic toner is then applied to cleanse bacteria from your pores. Your face is massaged with jojoba oil and steamed with a hot towel to remove excess. Facial moisturizer is then applied to hydrate the skin. Finally, your choice of traditional luxury aftershave is splashed on and your face powdered to a matte finish.
